CHOC/BERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE FOR HAPPY HORMONES + TASTE BUDS :)
BLEND TOGETHER:
1 handful of berries/greens to support detoxification of excess estrogen in the liver.
1 tbsp cacao for protein, monounsaturated fats, calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc. Cacao also increases heart health, brain function + improves the natural production of hormones.
1 tbsp chia seeds for protein, fiber, calcium + omega-3’s. Chia seeds boost digestive health, increase bone and muscle health + promote healthy skin.
1 tbsp flaxseeds which are an estrogen adaptogen - essentially acting as an estrogen amplifier or estrogen blocker depending on what the body needs (which is why seed cycling can be so effective for hormone balancing).
1-2 dates for fiber + a variety of vitamins/minerals including iron. Dates are great for nervous system health, bone health, energy & digestion.
1 banana for a potassium kick + to help boost your mood due to a type of protein they contain which converts to serotonin. Bananas are a great carbohydrate to add to your smoothies pre/post workout or for overall energy levels.
1 cup of plant-based milk or liquid of choice to turn this concoction into a smoothie :)
